Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo Postponed Until 2023
The mission of the Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo is to maintain the unique family-oriented sportsmen culture and heritage of Lafourche and Grand Isle through a community fishing rodeo, with proceeds dedicated to scholarships and educational opportunities for future generations. The Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo continues to offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors this year; however, the 2022 Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo will be postponed until 2023.
After careful consideration of the impact Hurricane Ida had on our community, the board of directors decided that it was in the best interest of our community to postpone the 2022 event. We realize that everyone’s situation is different, but as a community, we feel that we need to take this time to focus on our family and our businesses as we rebuild. 2023 Admiral Charles “Mike” Callais said, “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone under better circumstances for our rodeo next year.”
We are so grateful for the support from our sponsors, volunteers, donors and vendors each year. We rely on you to help us bring the best experience possible to our community event for future generations. On behalf of our board of directors and our 2023 Admiral, and in appreciation for all that you do for us and for our community, we want to say thank you! We look forward to a stronger and better community and to your support in 2023. Please join us July 6, 7 & 8, 2023 and Fish Big, Win Big at the Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo!
